This special enchanted sphere has multiple mineral components that add to its magickal power and potential. It was crafted from optical quality quartz and has an excellent polish.
Inside the sphere is a natural internal plane that runs in a straight line from edge to edge inside the sphere.
These rare internal stress planes form in a way that displays brilliant, translucent rainbow colors when light hits them at the correct angle. These are not fractures and they do not extend outside the surface of the crystal but remain frozen within its depths. When they form a fairly flat surface plane they create a spectacular rainbow effect when they are held in the sun or any single light source. Even a 60-watt incandescent light will display the rainbows, albeit not as magnificently as in the sun or a brighter artificial light. Due to its size and very straight alignment, the rainbow can be seen equally well from both sides of the plane.
About ¼ of the sphere on one side, or the bottom depending upon how you orient it, is filled with very finely crystallized pure white sugar quartz, from which tiny needles of black tourmaline protrude. Not even counting its magickal qualities, this sphere is fascinating just to look in upon all the varied mineral aspects within its small world.
